27 June 2017 OSA’s Student Presentation Award

ICFO PhD Student Clara Gregori receives award at ECBO From June 25-29 in Munich, the European Conferences on Biomedical Optics (ECBO), sponsored by OSA and SPIE, brings together scientists, engineers, and clinicians who work with optics and photonics to solve problems in medicine and biomedicine.

Presentations during this conference cover basic science, novel technology and applications in the areas of advanced microscopy, clinical and biomedical spectroscopy, diffuse optical imaging, molecular imaging, neurophotonics and optogenetics, optical coherence tomography and other coherence techniques, therapeutic laser applications, laser-tissue interactions, opto-acoustic methods, and other novel biophotonics techniques.

During the conference, awards were presented recognizing best student papers. Congratulations to Clara Gregori, ICFO PhD student in the Medical Optics group led by Turgut Durduran who was the recipient of the OSA Student Presentation Award for her paper entitled “Cerebral Hemodynamic Responses to a Head-of-be Challenge in Patients with Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea Before and After Two Years of Continues Positive Air Pressure Treatment by Diffuse Optics” .
