Graphene plasmonics
Graphene can sustain collective electron oscillations (plasmons) with the unique advantage of tunability: the frequency of these excitations can be changed by electrically doping the material.
This grants us access into ultrafast electro-optical modulation. We are exploring the applications of this unique feature for fields as diversed as quantum optics and biosensing.
